Site Maintenance & Design Services
Beginning in 2021, Chris Gargiulo was contracted to provide site maintennce and design services that inlcude regular performance tests, recommended software updates on a bi-annual or annual basis, and the coninued implemention of technical and visual fixes to help improve overall site performance and the user experience. A breakdown of the initital project proposal is as follows:
Site Monitoring
- Regular server monitoring of website status, including perfomance tests with measurable data metrics and goals to help to identify potential problem areas for improvement.
- Regular inventory monitoring of the underlying MW CTR-IN technologies to be maintained via an ongoing checklist of features and functionality for quality assurance and web development tracking purposes.
System Updates
- Run all recommended system updates (e.g. plugins, themes, etc.) and address any update-related conflicts or errors encountered during the update process.
- Post-update performance tests & analysis for quality assurance to ensure upgraded version compatibility with no loss of site features or functionality.
Performance Fixes
- Fix identified system-level performance errors and/or bugs and implement any best practices that will help to improve site performance.
Performance Testing
- Regular performance test & analysis.
- When requested, to provide reports summarizing any significant findings and any recommendations to improve site performance in the future.
Design Services
- Chris Gargiulo is to collaborate with the principal investigator and key members of the MW CTR-IN team to provide ongoing design consultation, visual design services, and front-end web development services to help maintain and improve the MW CTR-IN brand and the content on the website.

Warning
As of June 30th 2025, the MW CTR-IN website (https://ctrin.unlv.edu/) is live but due to the unknown availability of future funding, the status of the website is subject to change after July 1st 2025.

Site Backups
The website is currently backed up in multiple locations. If these backups are needed to restore the website in the future, please contact the site developer for more details and assistance.
The Most Recent/Current Backups (recommended)
- Pantheon Site Backups - daily backups are accessible via the Pantheon admin UI with time-stamped links to individual site backup files (site code, database, and content files).
June 2025 Backups (fallback/safety net versions, if needed)
- Google Drive Backup - a backup of the WordPress website as of June 30th, 2025 is archived (zipped) and stored on a CTR-IN OIT Backup UNLV Shared Google Drive.
- Static Exported Website - a manually exported static version of the site was created by the web developer and backed up via Github at https://github.com/chrisgargiulo/ctrin-static-backup.
- Site Down Page - if the site is to be taken down indefinitely and no longer to be accessible as an archive, then a notification page with a status update should replace the home page for users if/when they visit the ctrin.unlv.edu url. The web developer has provided this site down page as an example.
