Project Intro
Site Migration to Pantheon
In the fall of 2018, Chris Gargiulo was hired to collaborate with UNLV IT specialists to help migrate the current MW CTR-IN Wordpress website from UNLV servers to Pantheon, a private third-party hosting provider.
Pre-Migration: Site Preparation
- Pre-migration tests of the new host system and services to ensure software compatibility and compliance with the new hosts’ policies, recommended best practices, and plugins, including their custom migration tool, security settings, and backup procedures.
- Pre-migration site audit of the current MW CTR-IN site to include a checklist of features and functionality for post-migration quality assurance testing, along with a pre-migration content clean up, code refactoring, and a site performance analysis.
Migration: Technical Support
- Address migration conflicts and errors during the migration process.
Post-Migration: Site Testing and Quality Assurance
- Post-migration site test and audit to ensure that all features and functionality are fully restored and functioning properly.
